How do you test calcium hardness and total alkalinity? I have a small vinyl pool?

It only came with the test strips for chlorine and ph. Do I have to buy a different kind of test?

Total alkalinity and PH are the same, IF you have a high ph then you have high alkalinity. If you are filling it with tap water from a city supply, the city lab should be able to give you the hardness level. Calcium test strips a very inexpensive.
