well every tank is the same for freshwater the balance should be betweenn 6.5-7.5 HOWEVER IT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO HAE A STABLE PH EVEN IF YOUR TANK IS SLIGHTLY ACIDIC/ALKALI IF YOUR FISH CAN COPEDON’TT CHANGE IT!

Seven is neutral. But not all fish like neutral. For example, african cichlids like their pH to be a bit higher.
If you are not sure what the requirements are for the fish you will be purchasing, just make sure your water quality is the same as the place from where you are getting your fish.
